For the first time Ukrainian Maritime Cluster had the honour to participate in the SEA Europe Board Meeting

The SEA Europe Board Meeting was held during the World Maritime Week in Spain. The Public Union “Ukrainian Maritime Cluster”, represented by Executive Director Olena Zhukova, took part in this event.

Associate membership in Sea Europe is a new stage for the Ukrainian Maritime Cluster. New opportunities have opened up for us, including the exchange and adoption of best practices in the blue economy. Cooperation with and learning from our European colleagues will undoubtedly be important for the restoration and expansion of maritime activities in Ukraine. We are grateful to our European colleagues from SEA Europe for their trust, strong support and the opportunities that future cooperation opens up,” – said Olena Zhukova.

Cooperation with SEA Europe is important for the Maritime Cluster of Ukraine for many reasons, including

– Access to new knowledge and technologies: SEA Europe is an influential organisation that brings together various stakeholders in the maritime industry in Europe, including shipyards, equipment manufacturers, port operators and other players. Associate membership in SEA Europe provides the Ukrainian Maritime Cluster with the opportunity to network with other professionals from different countries, share experiences and learn from best practices in the maritime industry.

– Opportunities for cooperation and partnerships: SEA Europe promotes cooperation between its members, facilitates business contacts, partnerships and joint projects. Membership in SEA Europe can provide the Ukrainian Maritime Cluster with opportunities to cooperate with other companies and organisations in the European maritime sector, which can help expand its network of contacts

In December 2022, the Ukrainian Maritime Cluster became an Associate Member of Sea Europe (the Association of Shipyards and Marine Equipment in Europe), which is an important factor in developing the cluster’s institutional capacity and deepening international relations.
