Mykolaiv ambassadors held profile meetings in Rotterdam

Ukrainian Maritime Cluster is implementing the project “Ambassadors of the Mykolaiv city” within the #EU4Business program, funded by the European Union and the German government.

While in Rotterdam, delegates of leading Mykolaiv enterprises, Аmbassadors of the Mykolaiv city, visited the company of the global maritime giant Damen Shipyards Group and met with representatives of SeaEurope, the Association of Shipyards and Marine Equipment of Europe.

On 10 November, the Ambassadors visited Damen Shiprepair & Conversion (DSC), a customer-oriented company with over 300 years of experience in ship repair, offering all types of maintenance, repair, conversion and refit work. During the meeting, Ambassadors of Mykolaiv had the opportunity to talk with the company’s top managers, familiarize themselves with the production base and working conditions of employees. A tour of the enterprise impressed them with its scale and ship repair capabilities.

Communication with representatives of the Association of Shipyards and Marine Equipment of Europe provided insights into the specific information field, allowing them to understand the current state and prospects for Ukrainian manufacturers.

Familiarization visits to leading maritime enterprises and meetings with specialized organizations always leave vivid impressions and useful knowledge. This is especially important for SMEs interested in the development of the maritime industry, the new technologies and innovative engineering.
