Opening of the Ukrainian Pavilion at Europort 2023

Ukrainian Maritime Cluster is implementing the project “Ambassadors of the Mykolaiv city” within the #EU4Business program, funded by the European Union and the German government. During this project, several selected delegates represent their companies at the World maritime exhibition Europort in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Europort is the leading exhibition for specialized vessels and smart solutions in the maritime and port industries. Mykolaiv ambassadors at Europort have the opportunity to link with reliable partners and clients, attract investors, and stay turned on the latest trends in shipbuilding.

The Ukrainian Maritime Cluster is the organizer of the Ukrainian Pavilion at the exhibition. The Ukrainian stand represent shipbuilders and ship repair specialists, service providers, manufacturers of maritime equipment, engineering bureaus, project organizations, innovative companies, and educational institutions. The delegates of the «Ambassadors of Mykolaiv city» are: PE «Intellectual Maritime Technologies», «Black Sea Yachts Shipyard» LLC, «Black Sea Shipyard Company» LLC, «C-Job Nikolayev» LLC, Project Design Bureau «ProLINE», «AMICO Digital» LLC, «Company Gulfstream» LLC, PE«Marine Design Service», «ARTEL MARINE» LLC, and «Ocean Shipyard» LLC.

On November 7th, the 1st Honorary Consul of Ukraine to The Netherlands Karel Burger Dirven, the First Secretary (Economic Cooperation) of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Netherlands, Mr. Volodymyr Buchok, and the Secretary General of SeaEurope, Mr. Christophe Tytgat took part in the opening of the Ukrainian Pavilion.

The distinguished guests expressed words of support, stressed the courage of the Ukrainian people who have persevered through challenging times. They commended the determination of Ukrainians, as reflected in the delegates’ slogan: “Ahead with Ukraine!”.

“The development of maritime industries in Ukraine is a strategically important task that requires a comprehensive approach and joint efforts of domestic companies, the government, and international partners. Therefore, we sincerely thank our honored guests who attended the Ukrainian Pavilion opening for their interest in the Ukrainian maritime sector and, overall, for their support of Ukraine in these challenging times. In Rotterdam, we have the honor to represent our country. We express gratitude to our partners and exhibition organizers for their support and the opportunity of implementing all assigned tasks,” emphasized Olena Zhukova, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Maritime Cluster.

“The presentation of Mykolaiv maritime industry enterprises at this exhibition provides them with unique opportunities to discuss prospective plans with partners, represent current Cluster initiatives, explore popular maritime publications, delve into the latest trends in the maritime sector, and establish new business contacts personally. We hope that expert negotiations will take place, and the agreements reached will serve as a powerful catalyst for the development of enterprises and the industry as a whole. Participation in such a great event like Europort 2023 provides invaluable experience,” noted Artem Vashchylenko, the Chairman of the UMC Supervisory Board.

One of the strategic goals of the Ukrainian Maritime Cluster is to enhance the competitiveness of Ukrainian companies in the international market. This requires systematic work on improving production quality, implementing safety and quality standards, as well as actively studying and analyzing the competitive environment. Europort provides precisely such an opportunity, and the potential result of these efforts may be the increased attractiveness of Ukrainian and Mykolaiv goods and services for international partners and investors.
