On July 15, 2022, as a result of a terrorist attack by the occupiers, the main building of the Admiral Makarov National Shipbuilding University suffered significant destruction. After the attack, university employees and communal services carried out work to eliminate the consequences of the shelling. On October 10, the enemy once again bombarded Mykolaiv with S-300 missiles, hitting the University building for the second time.

NUS is more than a hundred years of continuous development, growth of a powerful scientific center, national fame and international recognition. NUS is the only higher education institution of its kind in Ukraine, which trains specialists for shipbuilding, naval, machine building, energy, sea economic complexes of Ukraine and other countries of the world according to international norms and requirements. The educational process at NUS is provided by 49 departments, where 541 teachers work, including 63 doctors of science, 90 professors, 276 candidates of science, 270 associate professors.

The university team is doing everything possible to restore the work and educational process at the university. Unfortunately, in this difficult time for Ukraine, carrying out repair work requires significant financial costs, which are not enough in the country. That is why we are appealing to you to provide any possible material and financial assistance, which the University will gratefully accept.
