IAM regional clusters continue a series of exchanges on the technology level of in Engineering sectors – Design, Automation and Mechanical Engineering. After the review on BIM, the second topic is “CAD in mechanical engineering”. The topic is broad and multifaceted. For members of cluster communities, which are dominated by representatives of engineering – mechanical engineering, CAD is a key technology for product quality and performance improving. The Ukrainian Maritime Cluster has made this issue a top development priority. Accordingly, all our cluster community is interested in the review of the state and development by key segments in mechanical engineering and engineering (CAD / CAE / CAM) in the world, the state of using of these technologies in Ukraine, innovations, main challenges and development prospects.
In particular, the discussion on the mass distribution of modern software in mechanical engineering sectors will be relevant. After all, it is well known that software licenses are expensive, and not all consumers can use them. So, are there currently low-end programs in Ukraine, as well as special (incentive) programs for certain sectors from international brands? The last one, in particular, is necessary for the enterprises of the military-industrial complex, and the discussion on how to accelerate introduction of modern methods and tools of designing in mechanical engineering and instrument making is also planned here.
Among the key experts of the discussion are representatives of IAM clusters and experts from brands – software suppliers. Report time – up to 15 minutes. A discussion is planned separately.
The organizers of the event are APPAU, IAM clusters from Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and the Ukrainian Maritime Cluster. The event is part of the ClusteRISE project.
