New Horizons for Ukrainian Enterprises: Business Matchmaking Tour to Lithuania

As part of the EU4Business program, with the partnership support of GIZ Ukraine, an intensive training and business-matchmaking tour to Lithuania was recently completed for SMEs that are members of Ukrainian clusters. The enterprises of the Ukrainian Maritime Cluster were represented by Igor Lysytskyi, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Union.

From February to early March 2025, five workshops were held to provide information on export and fundraising opportunities, along with individual consultations from EU4Business experts. These consultations analyzed the needs, export goals, and potential of the participating enterprises. At the end of March, a visit to Lithuania took place to expand opportunities for Ukrainian enterprises to enter new markets and strengthen international business connections.

Key details of the tour:

  • 8 delegates
  • 3 cities in Lithuania
  • 6 visits to technology parks, chambers of commerce, and educational institutions
  • 40+ B2B meetings

One of the main events of the tour was the Ukrainian delegation’s visit to the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts on March 18. The purpose of this visit was to establish and develop business contacts in Lithuania. The event was attended by more than 30 Lithuanian companies from various industries, including IT, agriculture, food production, furniture and construction, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, automation, and maritime industries. Each Ukrainian company had from 5 to 10 meetings with potential partners. The meetings were organized by the Enterprise Europe Network, which operates under the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts, in cooperation with partners from the Lithuanian Innovation Center, which is implementing the initiative Strengthening the Capacity of Ukrainian Businesses. We thank the organizers for their efforts in implementing this project. Their support during the tour enabled Ukrainian enterprises to expand opportunities for international cooperation. Collaboration with Lithuanian partners contributed to business development and the establishment of long-term partnerships.
